After an extensive search, Math Corps is thrilled to announce Tiphany Pugh as its new President.
With a career spanning over two decades in the field of education, Tiphany Pugh has consistently demonstrated her excellence in operational and marketing leadership roles. Her most recent position was Sr. Managing Director at Dorsey College, where she led the institution’s efforts to provide higher education opportunities to students in and around Detroit. Tiphany has also held key positions, including Chief Operations Officer at New Urban Learning, a charter management organization focused on Northwest Detroit, and as Detroit Executive Director at Kaplan College in the New Center neighborhood.
Tiphany’s background in academic operations, and her deep passion to bridge inequities through education, will help to further Math Corp’s mission to use math to help underserved youth build good lives for themselves, and a more just society for all.
A nonprofit leader, Pugh is dedicated to promoting equal opportunities through education and access. Tiphany’s unwavering commitment to integrity, combined with her ability to develop high-performing teams, will be instrumental in amplifying our impact and ensuring that Math Corps programs effectively address the needs of our kids.
“I have spent my career working with organizations to provide educational opportunities to underserved populations. Math Corps has a remarkable 30-year history of providing space for the greatness of kids to shine and be cultivated. I am excited to continue this work, and provide even more kids with the opportunity to experience learning in the Math Corps way,” Tiphany shares.
