Math Corps conducts research in order validate its results and effectively share its best practices. Steve Chrisomalis, Professor of Anthropology at Wayne State University and the Math Corps’ Director of Research, has published papers on the program’s unique language and culture used both inside the classroom and throughout the camp, its impact on student experiences and outcomes. Currently, in partnership with Mathematica Policy Research, the Math Corps is working on a longitudinal study to establish the effect of the program on student lifetime outcomes.
