We’re honored to share that Wayne State University Math Corps has been selected to receive the 2026 American Mathematical Society (AMS) Award for Mathematics Programs That Make a Difference.
This national award recognizes outstanding programs that expand access to mathematics and support students from underrepresented communities on pathways to academic and professional success. Math Corps was chosen in recognition of its more than 30 years of impact in Detroit and its growing national network of university-based programs.
We’re deeply grateful to the AMS for this recognition and to the students, families, teaching assistants, instructors, alumni, and partners who make Math Corps what it is.
