Math Corps Students Meet the Detroit Pistons

This summer, Math Corps students visited the Detroit Pistons, where guard Chaz Lanier spent time with the group.

Chaz didn’t just show up to say hello — he pulled up a chair, grabbed a mic, and spent real time with our Math Corps kids. He answered questions, signed merch, and shared his own experience with them.

“I’m super grateful to be here,” he told them.

For our students, moments like this aren’t just fun — they’re proof that people who’ve made it to the highest levels of their field still remember what it felt like to be a kid who needed someone to believe in them.
