Working with students for several weeks in the summer is simply not enough. The Math Corps Super Saturdays Programs serve as a compliment to the Summer Camp, providing a vehicle to follow through with students during the academic year. The same team team-oriented, mentor driven, student-teaching-student approach is utilized.
The Super Saturdays Program serves returning students in a ten-week program that takes place during the winter semester. Students participate in both advanced studies and reinforcement of basic Mathematical skills. In addition to participating in grade level content in mathematics, the ninth grade students receive preliminary training designed to prepare them to fill the role of high school Teaching Assistant for the Math Corps Summer Programs. The returning high school students serve as Teaching Assistants to the middle school students and also participate in problem-solving workshops designed to prepare them to maximize their performance on the Mathematics portion of the SAT college placement exam.
